GASCL T-20 Competition: Two Exciting Matches Produce Standout Performances
Georgia Supreme Cricket League – T-20 Competition
The Georgia Supreme Cricket League T-20 Competition delivered another exciting round of cricket, with two closely contested matches featuring strong individual performances and dramatic finishes. Desmond Lewis Master and Caribbean Sports Club both secured victories, while several players stood out with impressive contributions with both bat and ball.
Game 1: Desmond Lewis Master Defeat UBACC
Desmond Lewis Master won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a competitive 128 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs.
Jatinder Raina led the scoring with a valuable 28 runs, helping Desmond Lewis Master establish a defendable total despite losing wickets at regular intervals.
UBACC appeared to make a promising start in the run chase, but their innings eventually lost momentum. The team was bowled out for 122, falling just six runs short of victory.
Tyrone Gayle top-scored for UBACC with an impressive 37 runs, but his effort was not enough to take his team across the finish line.
Raina also made a significant contribution with the ball, finishing with excellent figures of 2 wickets for just 5 runs, helping Desmond Lewis Master defend their total.
Game 2: Caribbean Sports Club Hold Off Tropical
Caribbean Sports Club battled their way to 132 for 6 in 18 overs, setting Tropical a challenging target.
Ricardo Sitcheron anchored the CSC innings with a well-played 42 runs, providing the foundation for a competitive total.
Tropical mounted a determined response but ultimately fell short, finishing their innings at 116 for 6.
Ahsan Plummer led the Tropical challenge with an excellent 42 runs, but CSC’s bowling attack kept control of the contest and prevented Tropical from reaching the target.
The standout bowling performance came from Evroy Dyer of Caribbean Sports Club, who produced a superb spell of 4 wickets for just 12 runs. His match-winning performance proved decisive in securing the victory for CSC.
Player of the Week: Evroy Dyer
Caribbean Sports Club – 4 wickets for 12 runs
Evroy Dyer of Caribbean Sports Club has been named the GASCL T-20 Player of the Week following his outstanding bowling performance. Dyer’s remarkable figures of 4 for 12 played a major role in restricting Tropical to 116 for 6 and securing a 16-run victory for CSC.
With two exciting matches producing strong individual performances, the GASCL T-20 Competition continues to showcase competitive cricket and emerging stars throughout the league.
